This experience encompasses the creation of the start-up operations throughout Europe right through to final IPO or trade sale.
Having co-founded Pegasus Funding Resources Peter specialises in helping other start-up and growth companies to prepare themselves for funding and to introduce them to sources of finance. In particular Peter uses his experience to guide companies through the business plan writing process and the challenge of not only presenting to investors but also of being well prepared for the unexpected questions that will follow.

Alan Cottle MCMI

Alan has more than 30 years experience in both large and SME businesses. He has worked in a FTSE 100 company at senior
level and has started and built a specialist engineering business taking it to a turnover of £2m and 22 staff. The company
provided equipment to

multi national customers in the automotive, oil and marine sectors and was a significant exporter.
His experience includes business start-ups and acquisition, managing growth businesses, project management, logistics management and quality systems. He understands the issues facing growth businesses and strategic financial resource planning to achieve growth potential.
He has experience in raising funds for businesses with growth potential and has particular experience of raising Business Angel finance. Alan can use his experience to guide companies through the fund raising process and support them through out the negotiation process with potential funders.
He spent 3 years with Business West as a Business Adviser specialising in start up businesses with high growth potential. He then joined the South West Angel & Investor Network (SWAIN) as Area Manager when it opened its doors for business in May 2004. During his 2 ½ years at SWAIN he was instrumental in getting private equity investment into many companies and has recruited a significant number of "high net worth individuals" to grow the network

Mike Kilroy FCMA

Mike is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants with over 35 years of corporate experience many with UK and Overseas Blue Chip companies with highly structured financial reporting disciplines. Roles as FD and MD has given Mike lead roles

in a number of buyouts, buy ins, acquisitions and disposals.
Having worked in a broad range of industrial sectors including heavy and light engineering, footwear and clothing, M&E contracting and the Hotel industry he has an in depth understanding of the various problems facing businesses be it seasonality or the financing of large projects with long term income streams. Also worked with businesses on long term strategies to bring loss making operations into profit with exit routes planned.
The latter 15 years has been in the SME sector working with limited resources, raising funding through banking and enterprise funding. This has necessitated writing and delivering on numerous business plans, giving him the skills to build robust business models, challenging not only his own but also the assumptions of others.

Nigel Birks ACA

Nigel is a Chartered Accountant with over 15 years experience, mainly as Finance Director, but also as Commercial Director & Managing Director. He has worked in companies of all sizes, from a technology start-up business to European FD of a multinational business

selling leading edge telecommunications equipment and services.
Nigel has also owned and run a successful hotel, and built up a financial consultancy business supplying Financial Director and Financial Controller services to SME's (small and medium enterprises). Clients included a CGI children's cartoon maker, a car manufacturer, a start-up mail business and a small Caribbean hotel business
In the above roles Nigel has written business plans, raised loan finance for growth, set up leasing arrangements and negotiated bank facilities. He is particularly experienced in quickly identifying the key drivers of a business and translating that as simply as possible into financial models, and is a keen believer in keeping things simple and short. |

Paula is an FCA with more than 25 years corporate experience, including Board level positions in PR and Interactive Television. Her background includes two roles in the telecoms sector, working with high growth companies through start up to flotation. |
As well as working within highly structured blue chip organizations Paula has more recently supported a number of SME's and is able to match the necessary controls and governance with the flexibility demanded in a start up with limited resources.
Having co-founded Pegasus Funding Resources Paula now assists with all of the services offered. In particular her skills and experience enable her to challenge the financial assumptions, build dynamic models and create robust yet flexible financial forecasts. She will also help you identify the type of finance which really meets your requirements and will work with you to deliver the solution, providing all the support you need along the way.

Kirsten Ottley MSci ACMA

Kirsten is an associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and has a first class master's degree in mathematics and statistics with honours. She

has previously worked for Capital One Bank specialising in the areas of marketing and analysis, financial modelling and reporting and enterprise risk management. Kirsten has also worked for HFC Bank PLC and has worked as the Operations and Finance Manager at the charity Robin Hood Ministries.
Kirsten has joined Pegasus Funding Resources as a consultant to specialise in creating complex financial models for our clients.
