Richard Olsen


Over the last 15 years, Richard has successfully bought and sold various businesses, working on both an interim and equity basis. He has held a number of director roles and currently heads up a financial services business and a marketing communications agency in Rutland.

Richard’s vast experience has spanned many sectors including telecoms, charity and renewable technology. He currently holds a number of non-executive positions where he provides commercial advice and strategic direction to a range of businesses, as well as chairing the board in some cases.

As a financial advisor, Richard’s specific expertise is around preparing businesses for funding before securing finance to support business growth, capital acquisition and refinancing.

Alexander Jaye

Venture Partner

Alexander has more than 12 years’ consultancy experience of identifying, developing and executing new market propositions through joint ventures, deal creation and launching new businesses.

He has developed real estate joint ventures worth more than £100 million, secured early-stage funding for disruptive technologies, and brokered partnerships between global corporations and scale-up companies by managing complex negotiations.

His interest in improving access to healthcare led him to support many clinical entrepreneurs and digital health organisations looking to improve population health with a particular focus on harnessing big data.

Alex said: “My particular focus at Pegasus is around lean start-up, validating new propositions and building traction. I’m especially keen to help entrepreneurs to succeed in the areas of health, wellbeing and preventative technologies.

Richard Malczyk

R&D Tax Consultant

Richard’s career began in R&D before moving into product management and international marketing. He soon became MD of a high-tech software start-up, building the business from the outset and successfully raising grants and venture finance along the way.

Over the past 13 years, Richard had enjoyed running his own consultancy business and has taken up multiple roles as mentor, consultant and coach. His clients have been high-growth businesses, from start-ups to corporates, and established ventures seeking transformational change.

He has expertise in advanced business planning as well as securing a wide range of investments, including early stage finance for entrepreneurs to complex funding for cutting-edge innovations. Richard’s extensive knowledge covers both debt and equity finance.

He also has a strong personal experience of pitching for funding from business angels. His latest venture successfully raising seed capital from a US business angel in 2010 and exiting in 2015 with a $25 million trade sale. He even has a Dragon’s Den appearance under his belt!

Bob Clarke


Bob’s experience lies predominantly in the logistics and industrial sectors where he has held managing director and board positions for over 30 years. He has worked with both plc’s and private groups of companies to successfully improve business performance through growth, cost control, finance and organisational change.

More specifically, Bob has expertise in both growing, and turning around, businesses in the industrial, manufacturing and logistics sectors and recently set up his own consultancy business in 2011.

Philip Meir


Following an early career spanning 23 years with Banque AIG, Philip has become a long-established financing specialist with an enviable reputation for helping business start-ups and ambitious SMEs to achieve sustainable growth.

He has developed a strong network of over 600 non-bank investors covering both debt and equity finance for start-ups through to IPOs, in addition to links with a large number of family offices globally. Philip is also a member of ICG, a group of 4,000 consultants worldwide that can advise on company strategy.

Philip currently holds positions as a Board Advisor with Influence Network and an Investment Strategist with Generation 3 Family Partners. In addition, he is able to provide alternative investment opportunities in funds, real estate and private equity, with the benefit that he has invested in many of these himself.

Martyn Brooke

Credit Management Consultant

Martyn is a highly experienced Credit Management Consultant with more than 30 years experience in helping a wide range of companies to get their money quicker.

During his career, Martyn has held a number of Senior European Credit Manager roles in global companies. He has gained invaluable experience in working with businesses to deliver effective credit management and cash collection procedures to alleviate cash flow problems.

Martyn has been a graduate member of the Chartered Institute of Credit management since 1992 as well as being a member of the Association of International Credit Directors.

In addition, he is an accredited member of the IBD Group of Business Advisors which provides access to over 200 advisors across multiple disciplines.

Paul Weeks

Sandy Hogg


Dr Sandra Hogg brings a wealth of experience as an investor, fundraiser and business development strategist to the role. After completing a post-doc in psychopharmacology at Guys Hospital Medical School in London, she took up senior R&D and business development roles at Synthelabo in Paris and Lundbeck in Copenhagen, and subsequently became the founder and chief executive of Angita Pharmaceuticals, where she successfully fundraised and secured more than £5 million in EU regional development grants which were matched by independent and private investors.

Sandy said: “It’s exciting to be the first female representative at Pegasus. I think the benefits of having different characters with different backgrounds can only help our clients. I am passionate about helping entrepreneurs achieve their goals, both personal and professional.”

Alan Todd


Alan brings a wealth of experience to his role in the team. He spent 25 years at Barclays Bank in Cambridgeshire, rising to the position of Director of Finance before launching his own business consultancy.

He is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute and will use his expertise to help ambitious SMEs achieve their growth plans.

His specialities include arranging commercial finance and property lending facilities.

He is also passionate about finding innovative solutions to help SMEs overcome financial difficulties and secure the funding they need.

Nigel Simkins


With over 30 years of experience in the invoice finance industry, Nigel is an independent consultant working in the invoice finance, asset-based lending, credit insurance and equity funding sectors. Owner and Director of Change Business Finance Ltd, he uses his skills and contacts to assist businesses looking for funding or debtor insurance.

Previous roles include Senior Consultant at Touch Financial Ltd, the largest broker in the UK; Chief Operating Officer at Innovation Finance, a small independent factoring service provider; and Risk Manager at Bibby Factors Sussex. Nigel has also served as the Head of Risk & Operations at Aldermore Invoice Finance as well as holding positions such as Operations/Managing Director at Charterhouse Commercial Finance.

Nigel currently holds a number of non-executive director roles for companies he has previously advised.

Kirstie Heneghan

Venture Consultant

Kirstie built her career on creating new platforms and processes for small and large businesses, winning awards for digital integration and her creative approach.

Kirstie has a keen interest in helping social technology innovators. This spurred her to study for an innovation and entrepreneurship-focused Executive MBA at Hult International Business School. During her studies she worked in a start-up, where she developed a service around cyber threat management, partnering AI technologies with state-of-the-art customer relationship management systems and cyber expert operations.

Kirstie said: “I am passionate about raising the profiles of commercially driven entrepreneurs who want to solve problems in their markets. My role at Pegasus will focus on matching these innovative start-up founders with the right investors. I want to help people with great ideas, but perhaps who lack self-belief in their own ability, to achieve success.”
